New Hampshire Substance-Related Data Sets and Data-Based Reports

Purpose
The document is intended to create single point access to an array of data sets relevant to substance use and substance-related impacts in New Hampshire in order to:

  1. Expedite the spread of information and accelerate research related to substance use and substance related harm in the State.
  2. Grow awareness of diverse data sets of which people who are seeking information may currently be unaware.
  3. Encourage networking, liaisons and collaboration among different professions and professionals working to address harmful use in the State.

Content
The document reflects a compilation of key data sources related to substance use and substance related impacts in the State of NH. It includes three types of data sources:

  • NH-based data sets containing data specific to substance use and/or its impacts in the State (eg Medical Examiner’s drug overdose data, State police drug seizure data, etc)
  • National data sets with State level data related to substance use (e.g. Youth Behaviors Risk Survey [YRBS], National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), etc.)
  • NH specific multi-source data reports and dashboards with substance-related information (eg DMI report, DHHS Wisdom dashboard.

Each listing includes: data set title, brief description of content, agency or organizations collecting the data, a contact person, information on public availability (publicly available, available on request, internal data only) with link to publicly available information.

This document will be updated and revised on an as needed basis based on user feedback. We ask that users of this site/document make us aware of additional data sets recommended for inclusion here and inform us of any needed changes in the content and/or broken links that come to their attention by contacting nhcenterforexcellence@jsi.com.
