Addressing substance misuse and addiction effectively relies on a comprehensive Continuum of Care (CoC) readily accessible to all populations in a given community. The four main components of an effective continuum are prevention, early identification, treatment and recovery support. Access to and coordination of these services within a community may be as important as the services themselves.
